La Editura Cartier, în Colecţia C[ART]IER, a apărut ediţia a XI-a a volumului “Coranul – Biblia islamului”, în traducerea dr. Silvestru Octavian Isopescul. Ediţia actualizează una dintre cele mai bune traduceri din limba arabă a “Coranului”, cea realizată de dr. Silvestru Octavian Isopescul, apărută iniţial în 1912 la Cernăuţi.
„Coranul, biblia islamului, astăzi este tradus în toate limbile culte europene. Acest fapt m-a determinat și pe mine să întocmesc o traducere românească, pentru ca să adaug astfel o piatră la edificarea literaturii lumii, care, în timpul mai nou, începe să devină și proprietatea literaturii românești.” (Silvestru Octavian Isopescul, 1910)

I have read the Quran in Romanian language, I highly appreciate the translator for his great efforts for translating it!
But I have a comment on the introduction 2, which talks about prophet Mohammad’s life, there are many things has been delivered in such a shameful way, that does not reflect the truth about Mohammad and who he was specially when it comes to his childhood, let me copy the writing in Romanian language : ( totusi avea o constitutie nervoasa si din copilarie sufera de afectiuni epiletice, sau mai bine zis isterice, impinate cu halucinatii, dureri fizice nu putea suferi si desi legea sa a raspindit-o prin sabie, totusi nu se poate zice ca personal a fost viteaz.) end of copying
translation of the copied sentence to English ( he ( Mohammad) had a constitution of nerve disorder since childhood, or rather saying hysterical hallucination, he could not suffer physical pain, and his law was spread through the sward, although you cant say that he was brave!) end of translation.
That’s all wrong, if this is the image the translator wanted to convey to the Romanian people, then Sorry to say that’s really unfair to the right of a great person who was sent as mercy to all human kind, not forgetting that in many languages I found some of defects and wrong description of Mohammad’s life and the translation of the holy Quran.
